قال وزير الطوارئ وإدارة الكوارث رائد الصالح، الإثنين 7 تموز: إن الفرق الأردنية والتركية تشارك برّاً وجواً في عمليات السيطرة على الحرائق في ريف اللاذقية، ومنع وصول النيران بشكل أكبر إلى محمية الفرنلق في ناحية كسب.
جاء ذلك خلال جولة تفقدية أجراها الوزير على مواقع الحرائق في ريف اللاذقية، وسط مواصلة العمل على إخماد النيران لليوم الخامس على التوالي.
وقال الدفاع المدني عبر معرفاته إن الوزير يتابع عمل فرق الإطفاء على الأرض في مواقع الحرائق المشتعلة، مضيفاً أنه أجرى جولة تفقدية في منطقتي قسطل معاف وزنزف.
وخلال جولته، أشار الصالح إلى إمكانية مشاركة الطائرات اللبنانية في عمليات الإخماد اليوم.
وفي وقت سابق من اليوم، كشف وزير الطوارئ عن تخصيص لبنان لطائرتي إطفاء للمساعدة في إخماد الحرائق في ريف اللاذقية، مشيراً إلى أنه من المخطّط أن تبدأ الطائرتان عملهما اليوم.
وكانت فرق إطفاء من تركيا والأردن وصلت في وقت سابق، إلى جانب فرق محلية تابعة للدفاع المدني ومديريات الحراج، في محاولة لتطويق امتداد النيران التي التهمت مساحات واسعة من الغابات والمزارع وهددت قرى مأهولة بالسكان.
