أعلن رئيس وزراء أرمينيا نيكول باشينيان، أن يريفان تقيم حوارا نشطا مع أنقرة، وأن أرمينيا ستمتلك في المستقبل القريب طريقا بريا يربطها بتركيا.
جاء ذلك في كلمة ألقاها، السبت، خلال مؤتمر لحزب “العقد المدني”، الذي يترأسه، في العاصمة الأرمينية يريفان.
وشدد باشينيان على أن بلاده لديها حوار نشط مع أنقرة يمنحها الثقة بأنها ستحصل في المستقبل القريب على روابط للنقل البري مع الجانب التركي، وبالتالي مع الاتحاد الأوروبي.
ومنتصف مارس/ آذار 2025، قال باشينيان في مؤتمر صحفي، إن تطبيع العلاقات بين بلاده وتركيا أصبح مسألة وقت.
من جهة أخرى، أشار باشينيان إلى أن تحقيق السلام بين أرمينيا وأذربيجان أدخل بلاده في مرحلة جديدة كليا من التاريخ.
وذكر أنه منذ مدة طويلة لم يُقتل أو يُصب أي جندي أرميني على الحدود مع أذربيجان.
وقال رئيس وزراء أرمينيا: “هذا هو السلام”.
وفي أغسطس/ آب الماضي، وقّع الرئيس الأذربيجاني إلهام علييف، وباشينيان، إعلانا مشتركا عقب قمة ثلاثية استضافها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب في البيت الأبيض، عُرف أيضا بأنه “خريطة طريق في سبيل السلام”.
وفي 27 سبتمبر/ أيلول 2020، أطلق الجيش الأذربيجاني عملية لتحرير أراضيه المحتلة في إقليم قره باغ، وبعد معارك استمرت 44 يوما توصلت أذربيجان وأرمينيا إلى اتفاق وقف إطلاق نار، واستعادت باكو بموجبه السيطرة على محافظات محتلة.
