بحث رئيس الجمهورية التركية رجب طيب أردوغان، مع نظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، والوضع في قطاع غزة.
جاء ذلك خلال اتصال هاتفي بينهما، بناء على طلب الجانب الأمريكي، وفق بيان لدائرة الاتصال بالرئاسة التركية على منصة “إن سوسيال” التركية.
وأكد أردوغان، خلال الاتصال، أن زيارته إلى الولايات المتحدة ساهمت في تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية.
وأشار إلى أهمية تطوير التعاون الثنائي في كافة المجالات، وخاصة الصناعات الدفاعية.
ولفت أردوغان، إلى أن تركيا تبذل جهودًا حثيثة لتحقيق السلام في المنطقة، لا سيما في غزة.
وأعرب عن ترحيبه بالمبادرات الرامية لتحقيق هذا الهدف.
وأضاف أردوغان، أن تركيا عززت اتصالاتها الدبلوماسية من أجل السلام وستواصل مساهمتها في رؤية السلام الدولي.
وشدد على أن إنهاء إسرائيل هجماتها يُعد أمرًا مهمًا لنجاح الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق السلام في المنطقة.
