طالبت حركة حماس جامعة الدول العربية ومنظمة التعاون الإسلامي بموقف عاجل تجاه الكارثة الإنسانية التي تشهدها غزة، والتي تفاقمت مع دخول فصل الشتاء وغرق آلاف خيام النازحين بسبب الأمطار الغزيرة والرياح.
متحدث الحركة حازم قاسم أكد أن أهالي القطاع يعيشون ظروفاً قاهرة رغم الإعلان عن توقف الحرب، مشيراً إلى أن تقييد المساعدات ومنع الإعمار واستمرار الحصار الإسرائيلي يفاقم الأزمة الإنسانية.
وأشار قاسم إلى أن الكارثة تستدعي تدخل المؤسسات العربية والإسلامية وفق مسؤولياتها، داعياً إلى موقف واضح يدعم حقوق الفلسطينيين ويخفف من معاناتهم.
وتعيش في القطاع نحو 1.5 مليون فلسطيني، معظمهم في خيام متضررة، حيث بلغت نسبة الخيام غير الصالحة للسكن نحو 93 بالمئة نتيجة القصف الإسرائيلي والعوامل الطبيعية.
