قال وزير الخارجية السوري أسعد الشيباني إن علاقات سوريا مع روسيا تدخل عهدا جديدا مبنيا على الاحترام المتبادل، وذلك خلال مؤتمر صحفي عقده مع نظيره الروسي سيرغي لافروف في العاصمة موسكو.
وأشار الشيباني إلى أن الحكومة السورية ماضية في إعادة الإعمار بإرادة وطنية خالصة، وتسعى لإقامة علاقات متوازنة مع جميع الدول، إضافة إلى العمل على جلب الاستثمارات وتحسين الوضع الاقتصادي في البلاد.
بدوره، أوضح وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف أن المباحثات تناولت مختلف القضايا، مع التأكيد على أهمية الحفاظ على وحدة الأراضي السورية، والاتفاق على تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين البلدين في شتى المجالات.
وكان وزيرا الخارجية والدفاع السوريان قد وصلا إلى موسكو الثلاثاء لإجراء مباحثات مع المسؤولين الروس.
