أطلقت قيادة أمن البادية، بالتعاون مع إدارة مكافحة الإرهاب والوحدات الأمنية المختصة، اليوم الأحد 14 كانون الأول، عملية أمنية واسعة استهدفت خلايا تنظيم داعش الإرهابي في مناطق الفرقلس والقريتين والبادية بريف حمص.
وقال مسؤول فرع عمليات البادية علي الصوفي إن الحملة، التي لا تزال مستمرة، جاءت ردا على الهجوم الإرهابي الذي استهدف مدينة تدمر، وتعتمد على معلومات استخباراتية مسبقة، وتتضمن مداهمات ميدانية منسقة وتفتيشا دقيقا للأوكار المشتبه بها لتفكيك الخلايا النائمة.
وأكد الصوفي أن قوى الأمن تواصل ملاحقة بقايا التنظيم وقطع خطوط إمداده وتمويله، مشددا على عزمها حماية المواطنين والحفاظ على أمن واستقرار البلاد.
