بدأت محكمة الجنايات الرابعة في دمشق، اليوم الأربعاء 24 حزيران، أولى جلسات محاكمة المتهم وسيم الأسد، المتورط بجرائم عدة بحق الشعب السوري خلال عهد النظام البائد، وذلك بحضور النائب العام للجمهورية حسان التربة وممثلين عن منظمات حقوقية وطنية ودولية.
وترأس الجلسة القاضي فخر الدين مصطفى العريان، حيث جرى تلاوة لائحة اتهام تضمنت إدارة وتشكيل مجموعات مسلحة غير نظامية بتكليف من العميد غياث دلا، أحد قادة الفرقة الرابعة التابعة للنظام البائد بقيادة ماهر الأسد، والمشاركة في عمليات عسكرية استهدفت مناطق مدنية في الغوطة الشرقية، ولا سيما بلدة المليحة، وأسفرت عن سقوط عدد كبير من الضحايا المدنيين.
كما شملت التهم الموجهة إلى وسيم الأسد مسؤوليته عن جرائم قتل، والتورط في مجازر خلال العمليات العسكرية، والتحريض العلني على العنف، وتهريب المخدرات والاتجار بها، إضافة إلى جرائم السلب والابتزاز.
وأكدت هيئة المحكمة أن هذه الأفعال تندرج ضمن جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية، فضلاً عن مخالفتها لأحكام قانون العقوبات السوري.
وبعد تلاوة لائحة الاتهام، أوقفت وزارة العدل البث المباشر للمحاكمة ضمن إجراءات برنامج حماية الشهود، مع استمرار الجلسة واستكمال الإجراءات القضائية بشكل اعتيادي حفاظاً على سرية الشهادات وسلامة المشاركين في القضية.
ويأتي ذلك بعد إعلان وزارة الداخلية في 21 حزيران 2025 إلقاء القبض على وسيم الأسد على الحدود السورية اللبنانية، في عملية أمنية محكمة نُفذت بالتعاون مع جهاز الاستخبارات العامة.
وفي السياق، أكد وزير العدل مظهر الويس أن محاكمة وسيم الأسد ليست سوى محطة ضمن مسار وطني متكامل للعدالة الانتقالية، مشدداً على أن الوزارة تواصل العمل على ترسيخ العدالة والمحاسبة واستعادة الحقوق وتلبية تطلعات السوريين في بناء دولة القانون والمؤسسات.
وتندرج هذه المحاكمة ضمن سلسلة إجراءات قضائية بدأت في 26 نيسان الماضي بمحاكمة عاطف نجيب، في إطار مسار يهدف إلى كشف الحقيقة وإنصاف الضحايا ومحاسبة المتورطين بجرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية خلال عهد النظام البائد.
