عبّر الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب عن إعجابه بالرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع، مؤكداً أن السوريين يمتلكون طاقة وكفاءة عالية، وأن بلادهم تستحق فرصة لإعادة البناء والنجاح.
وأكد ترمب رغبته بأن “تعيد سوريا بناء نفسها”، مشدداً على أن رفع العقوبات عن سوريا سيتيح لها فرصة حقيقية للنجاح.
وشدد الرئيس الأميركي على تقديره لإمكانات السوريين، قائلاً إنهم “يمتلكون طاقة وكفاءة عالية”، وذلك في سياق حديثه عن مستقبل سوريا بعد رفع العقوبات.
وذكر ترمب في تصريحات مشتركة مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، أن نتنياهو طلب منه أيضاً رفع العقوبات عن سوريا.
من جهته، ذكر نتنياهو أن الوضع في سوريا يشهد تحولاً مهماً، قائلاً: “في السابق كانت إيران تدير سوريا، أما اليوم فهناك فرصة حقيقية لتحقيق الاستقرار والسلام في هذا البلد”.
