أعلنت شركات “هانت إنرجي” و”أرجنت” للغاز الطبيعي المسال و”بيكر هيوز” وضع خطة رئيسية لقطاع النفط والغاز والطاقة في سوريا، وذلك بهدف استكشاف واستخراج النفط والغاز وإنتاج الطاقة لدعم الاقتصاد.
وقال الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة أرجنت “جوناثان باس”، إن “الشركتين ستضعان خطة رئيسية لقطاع النفط والغاز والطاقة في سوريا، بهدف إعادة بناء البنية التحتية للطاقة التي دمرتها سنوات الحرب”، بحسب مانقلت وكالة رويترز الجمعة 18 تموز .
مضيفا، “بدأنا فعلياً بوضع خريطة طريق لتطوير الطاقة وتوليد الكهرباء، انطلاقاً من تقييمنا الأولي للإمكانات والفرص التي يمكن الاستفادة منها في المستقبل القريب لتحسين الأداء وتوسيع القدرة الإنتاجي”.
وأفادت الوكالة أن هذه الخطة تأتي بعد اندفاع شركات أخرى، العديد منها من دول الخليج العربي، لتوقيع صفقات لتعزيز البنية التحتية لتوليد الطاقة والموانئ في سوريا، لافتة إلى أن تفاصيل الخطة لم يعلن عنها حتى الآن، باستثناء أنها ستبدأ بالمناطق الواقعة غرب نهر الفرات، الخاضعة لسيطرة الحكومة السورية.
