أعرب الرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان، الجمعة، عن ثقته بأن لقاءه بنظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، بواشنطن، سيساهم في إنهاء الحروب والصراعات بالمنطقة، في إطار رؤيتهما المشتركة للسلام الدولي.
وقال أردوغان، في تدوينة على منصة “إن سوسيال” التركية: “خلال اللقاء الذي سنعقده في البيت الأبيض مع نظيري وصديقي الموقر الرئيس ترامب، سنناقش العديد من القضايا، وفي مقدمتها التجارة والاستثمار والصناعات الدفاعية، مع حليفتنا الولايات المتحدة، التي تربطنا بها علاقات استراتيجية شاملة”.
وأضاف “واثق من أن اللقاء سيساهم في إنهاء الحروب والصراعات بمنطقتنا، في إطار رؤيتنا المشتركة للسلام الدولي، وسيعزز التعاون بين البلدين بشكل أكبر”.
وفي وقت سابق الجمعة، أعلن الرئيس ترامب، أنه سيستقبل نظيره التركي أردوغان، في البيت الأبيض، الخميس المقبل.
