حذّر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، السبت، أفغانستان من “عواقب سيئة” في حال لم تُعد قاعدة بغرام الجوية إلى الولايات المتحدة، مؤكداً أن محادثات جارية لاستعادة القاعدة وإعادة تأسيس وجود عسكري أمريكي محدود هناك.
وانتقد ترامب إدارة جو بايدن السابقة لإخلائها القاعدة “دون مبرر”، مشيراً إلى أهميتها الاستراتيجية لقربها من مواقع إنتاج الصواريخ والأسلحة النووية الصينية.
وكانت قاعدة بغرام، أكبر القواعد الأمريكية في أفغانستان سابقاً، قد سُلّمت للجيش الأفغاني قبل سيطرة طالبان على السلطة في أغسطس 2021.
