أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، الجمعة 3 تشرين الأول، أن حركة حماس أبدت استعدادها لتحقيق سلام دائم، مطالباً إسرائيل بالتوقف فوراً عن قصف قطاع غزة لضمان إخراج الرهائن بأمان.
وقال ترامب في منشور على منصة “تروث سوشيال”: “الوضع شديد الخطورة، ويجب على إسرائيل إيقاف القصف فوراً لنتمكن من إخراج الرهائن بسرعة، الأمر لا يتعلق بغزة وحدها بل بالسلام المنشود منذ زمن طويل في الشرق الأوسط”.
وأضاف: “أود شكر الدول التي ساعدت في خطة غزة مثل قطر وتركيا والسعودية ومصر والأردن”، مؤكداً أن الجميع متفق على رغبة إنهاء الحرب وتحقيق السلام.
بدورها، أعلنت حركة حماس موافقتها على خطة ترامب، مشددة على أن معالجة مستقبل قطاع غزة يجب أن تكون وفق موقف وطني جامع وقوانين دولية.
