أشاد وزير خارجية بنغلاديش خليل الرحمن بالدور الذي تؤديه تركيا في دعم الجهود الرامية إلى معالجة أزمة الروهينغا، مؤكداً أن الموقف التركي يحظى بتقدير كبير لدى بلاده.
وجاءت تصريحات خليل الرحمن خلال مؤتمر صحفي مشترك عقده، الجمعة، في العاصمة البنغالية دكا مع وزير الخارجية التركي هاكان فيدان، عقب مباحثات تناولت العلاقات الثنائية وعدداً من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية.
وأوضح الوزير البنغالي أن أزمة الروهينغا تمثل أحد أكبر التحديات الإنسانية والدبلوماسية التي تواجهها بلاده، مثمناً الدعم الإنساني والدبلوماسي الذي قدمته تركيا منذ اندلاع الأزمة، إلى جانب مساهمتها في الجهود الدولية والإقليمية الرامية إلى إيجاد حل دائم لها.
وأشار إلى أنه أعاد طرح قضية الروهينغا في خطاب القبول الذي ألقاه بعد انتخابه رئيساً للدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، مؤكداً أهمية استمرار الاهتمام الدولي بهذه القضية.
