منحت الرئيسة الفنزويلية المؤقتة ديلسي رودريغيز، المواطن التركي إبراهيم أسر، “وسام البطولة”، تقديراً لجهوده في إنقاذ 38 شخصاً من تحت الأنقاض عقب الزلزال المزدوج الذي ضرب البلاد أواخر حزيران الماضي.
وجرى تقليد إبراهيم أسر الوسام خلال مراسم أقيمت في ملعب خورخي لويس غارسيا كارنيرو بمدينة لا غوايرا، وشملت أيضاً تكريم وحدات الأمن والاستجابة للطوارئ الفنزويلية المشاركة في عمليات الإنقاذ.
وقالت رودريغيز إن نحو 30 ألف عنصر شاركوا في جهود الاستجابة للكارثة، مشيدة بما وصفته بالمستوى العالي للأداء وروح التضامن التي أظهرها المشاركون في عمليات الإنقاذ.
وفي حديث لوكالة الأناضول التركية، أوضح إبراهيم أسر أن الرئيسة المؤقتة تعرفت إلى جهوده خلال مشاركته في مرافقة المساعدات الإنسانية التركية، مشيراً إلى أنها شكرته شخصياً وأبلغت مرافقيها بأنه يستحق التكريم، قبل أن يتلقى لاحقاً اتصالاً من القصر الرئاسي لإبلاغه بقرار منحه الوسام.
وكان إبراهيم أسر قد أسهم منذ الساعات الأولى للزلزال في نقل صور ومعلومات عن حجم الكارثة إلى العالم، كما شارك في عمليات الإنقاذ التي أسفرت عن انتشال 38 شخصاً أحياء من تحت الأنقاض.
يُذكر أن فنزويلا تعرضت في 24 حزيران الماضي لزلزالين بلغت قوتهما 7.2 و7.5 درجات على مقياس ريختر، ما أسفر عن مقتل 5119 شخصاً، فيما قدّر برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي حجم الأضرار المادية المباشرة بنحو 6.7 مليارات دولار.
