بدأت الكوادر الفنية التابعة لشركة “UCC” القابضة القطرية اليوم، الأحد 21 أيلول، أعمالها في تطوير وتوسعة مطار دمشق الدولي.
وأوضحتالهيئة العامة للطيران المدني أن بدء أعمال الشركة القطرية جاء تنفيذاً لمذكرة التفاهم الموقعة مع الهيئة في وقت سابق، والمتعلقة بمشروع تطوير المطار.
وعقدت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني السوري اجتماعاً تنسيقياً مع الشركة القابضة القطرية في دمشق، في نهاية آب الماضي، لمتابعة تنفيذ مشروع تطوير وتوسعة مطار دمشق الدولي.
وأشارت الهيئة حينها إلى أن اللقاء شهد مناقشة الخطوات التنفيذية المقبلة للمشروع، وذلك في إطار مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة سابقاً بين الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني السوري واتحاد يضم خمس شركات دولية بقيادة “UCC”، والتي تهدف إلى تطوير وتوسعة مطار دمشق الدولي.
ووقعت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني السوري في 6 آب الماضي مذكرة تفاهم استراتيجية مع اتحاد يضم خمس شركات دولية، تقوده شركة UCC القطرية، بهدف تطوير وتوسيع مطار دمشق الدولي باستثمار تتجاوز قيمته 4 مليارات دولار أمريكي، وتحويله إلى مركز إقليمي يستوعب 31 مليون مسافر سنوياً، وفق أعلى المعايير العالمية.
