قال مندوب تركيا الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة، أحمد يلدز، إن التطورات الأخيرة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط تشكل خطرًا على استقرار المنطقة، مؤكداً أهمية إبقاء سوريا بعيداً عن هذه التوترات.
جاء ذلك خلال كلمته في جلسة مجلس الأمن الدولي حول “الوضع في الشرق الأوسط”، في نيويورك، يوم الأربعاء، حيث أشار إلى أن الهجمات الإسرائيلية الأخيرة على لبنان أدت إلى نزوح أكثر من مليون شخص داخل لبنان، بالإضافة إلى عبور أكثر من مئة ألف شخص إلى سوريا.
وشدد يلدز على أن استمرار دعم وكالات الأمم المتحدة للحكومة السورية في ظل هذا الحجم الكبير من حركة النزوح يعد أمراً حيوياً، كما أشار إلى ضرورة متابعة تهديد تنظيم داعش عن كثب، وجمع جميع مكونات المجتمع السوري حول الحكومة وتسريع جهود إعادة الإعمار.
